The best Christmas wellness gifts are things people will use every day: something for a better night, a calm evening ritual, a warm drink or post-workout recovery. Think a sunrise alarm, a weighted blanket, a reishi hot chocolate or a magnesium evening drink. Supplements suit adults only, so check medicines and pregnancy first.

This guide to wellness gifts (or wellbeing gifts, as many UK shops call them) is organised by who you are buying for: her, mum, him and dad, a best friend, coworkers and Secret Santa, someone who is stressed and someone who sleeps badly. It also shows you how to build a self-care gift box at any budget. Each section mixes simple, non-supplement ideas with a few of ours where they genuinely fit. If you are shopping to a set amount, our wellness gifts by budget guide sorts ideas by price instead, and if the season itself feels like a lot, see how to have a calmer Christmas.

Christmas wellness gifts by what they need

A wellness gift is simply a present that makes someone’s everyday life a little healthier or calmer: better sleep, a quieter mind, more movement or more time with people they love. The gifts that get used are the ones that fit into a routine someone already has. Start with the one thing they most want more of, then pick from the ideas below.

If they… Gift ideas
Struggle to sleep Silk eye mask, sunrise alarm clock, weighted blanket, a magnesium evening drink, a cosy bedtime kit. See our sleep gifts guide
Are always stressed Journal, a massage voucher, reishi cacao, a weekend walk you plan together. See calming gifts
Train hard or ache after work Massage gun, foam roller, Epsom salts, a sports massage, or a CBD balm if they already use CBD
Are cutting back on alcohol Reishi hot chocolate, alcohol-free spirits, a nice mug. See our alcohol-free nightcaps
Feel flat in winter Sunrise alarm clock, a daylight lamp, a vitamin D supplement, walking boots. See winter blues
Have everything An experience: a spa day, yoga class, or a meal you cook for them

Wellness gifts for her

The best gifts for her are usually about time and comfort: permission to slow down, a ritual she enjoys and something that makes winter evenings nicer. Whether she is a partner, wife, girlfriend or sister, the easiest way to choose is by what she already loves doing, so these wellness gifts for her are grouped by type: sleep, calm, self-care rituals and movement. Every idea here is easy to find in the UK before Christmas.

Sleep gifts for her

  • An evening wind-down kit. Our Magnesium Glycinate Sleep Complex is a berry-flavoured warm drink with magnesium, L-theanine and botanicals including chamomile and passionflower. Pair it with a mug and a silk eye mask. Magnesium contributes to normal psychological function.
  • A better eye mask. A contoured or silk sleep mask that blocks light without pressing on the eyes is a small luxury she will use every night.
  • A sunrise alarm clock. A gentler start to dark winter mornings, and a gift that looks lovely on a bedside table.
  • A bedtime routine she can actually keep. Write out a simple wind-down routine on a card and tuck it in with the gift. For more ideas, see our sleep gifts guide.

Calm gifts for her

  • A guided journal. A gratitude journal with a nice pen is a two-minute evening habit, not another chore.
  • A meditation or yoga app subscription. Or a beginner’s guide to yoga nidra, a lying-down relaxation practice that needs no kit at all.
  • For adults who already use CBD. If she already has CBD in her routine, our Flow CBD Oil (with ashwagandha and maca) or Sleep CBD Oil (with passion flower) is a thoughtful refill rather than a guess.
  • A massage voucher. One she books for herself, on a day that suits her.

Our calming gifts guide has more ideas for someone who finds it hard to switch off.

Self-care ritual gifts for her

  • A bath ritual. Epsom salts, a good candle and the book she has been meaning to read. Our guide to the Epsom salt bath explains how much to use.
  • A cosy hot chocolate with a twist. Our reishi cacao blends cacao, reishi and maca with coconut milk powder. Lovely for anyone cutting back on alcohol or planning a Dry January. The cacao contains a little natural caffeine.
  • A pamper night in. A face mask, a hand cream and a soft pair of socks. Check her skin type and whether she likes strong scents before you choose.
  • A wellness advent calendar. Make your own with 24 small treats and notes, using our wellness advent calendar plan.

Movement gifts for her

  • A yoga or Pilates class pass. Something she can book around her week, not yours.
  • Walking kit. Merino socks, a waterproof jacket or a head torch for winter evenings, plus a printed copy of a Japanese walking plan if she likes a challenge.
  • Home workout basics. A good yoga mat, a set of resistance bands or a foam roller for after a run.
  • A shared goal. Sign up together for a parkrun, a charity walk or a spring 10K.

For context, the NHS suggests adults aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week, plus strengthening activities on at least 2 days a week. A movement gift that makes that feel easier, or more fun, is one she is likely to keep using.

Wellness gifts for mum

Wellbeing gifts for mum work best when they make her evenings cosier or her mornings easier, or simply give her more of your time.

  • A weighted blanket. A heavy, comforting throw for the sofa or bed. Our guide to weighted blankets explains how to choose the right weight.
  • A SAD lamp for the kitchen table. A bright light for dark mornings. See our guide to SAD lamps before you buy.
  • Something for the menopause years. A cooling pillow, a bedside fan and our guide to magnesium for menopause.
  • A vitamin D supplement for winter. The NHS advises that adults consider 10 micrograms of vitamin D a day in autumn and winter, because we do not make enough from sunlight between October and early March. Our vitamin D in winter guide explains the advice.
  • Your time. A meal you cook, a day out you organise, or a promise to call every Sunday in January.

If mum lives alone, time together over the holidays can be the most valued gift of all. Our guide to loneliness at Christmas has gentle ideas for staying connected.

Christmas wellness gifts for him and for dad

Many men will not ask for a wellness gift, but most will happily use one that feels practical. Aim for kit, comfort and something warm in a mug rather than anything that looks like a lecture.

For him: a partner, boyfriend or brother

  • Kit that gets him outside. A head torch for winter runs, a good flask, merino walking socks or a pair of proper walking boots for the long weekend after Christmas.
  • A swap for the nightcap. A tin of our Reishi Mushroom Adaptogenic Complex, a reishi hot chocolate made with cacao, reishi extract, maca and coconut milk powder, plus a heavy mug. The cacao contains a little natural caffeine, so it is not caffeine-free.
  • After the gym. A massage ball or foam roller, and for adults who already use CBD, our CBD Balm, Muscle and Joint Support: a cooling, non-greasy balm with peppermint, eucalyptus and juniper.
  • Something for Movember. Combine a small gift with a donation, or sign up for a sponsored walk together. Our guide to stress in men is worth a read if you are worried about him.
  • A cold-water dip or sauna session. Book it for the two of you. Check the venue has safety cover if it is his first cold-water swim.

For dad

  • A sunrise alarm clock. Dark winter mornings are hard at any age. Our guide to sunrise alarm clocks explains what to look for.
  • An evening drink he will actually make. Our Magnesium Glycinate Sleep Complex is a berry-flavoured powder with magnesium bisglycinate and citrate, glycine, L-theanine and botanicals. Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue. See magnesium for men for how much he needs.
  • A book and a reading light. A good biography or a walking guide to somewhere he has always wanted to go.
  • Time together. A pub walk on Boxing Day, a match, or a morning fixing something in the garden side by side.
  • A warm throw for his chair. Simple, cosy and used every evening until March.

All our CBD products are broad spectrum with 0% THC, which matters if he is drug tested at work. See CBD and drug tests. If he takes regular medication, read the checks in our gifting rules first.

Wellness gifts for a best friend

With a best friend you know what they actually like, so personal beats generic. A few self-care gifts for a best friend that feel thoughtful without being preachy:

  • A shared experience. A sound bath, a spa afternoon, a sea swim or a long walk with lunch at the end. You get the day together as well as the gift.
  • A “night in” box. A face mask, herbal teas, a film voucher and a jar of homemade hot chocolate mix.
  • A guided journal. Write a few of your favourite prompts inside the cover.
  • A good mug and a tin of reishi cacao. A warm drink for winter evenings that feels a little different.
  • An app or class subscription. Meditation, yoga or running club: something they have mentioned and never got round to.

If they are going through a hard time, a card that says you are thinking of them and a plan to meet up can matter more than anything you buy.

Wellness gifts for coworkers and Secret Santa

For colleagues, keep it simple and skip supplements. You rarely know about someone’s medication, pregnancy or allergies, so an ingestible gift is a gamble. Stick to things anyone can enjoy, within whatever limit your office sets:

  • A silk or cotton eye mask
  • A box of herbal teas: chamomile, peppermint or rooibos
  • A good hand cream or lip balm
  • A massage ball for the desk
  • A small notebook for to-do lists or worries at bedtime
  • A desk plant that is hard to kill

The same rule works if you are choosing wellbeing gifts for staff or a whole team: non-ingestible, unscented or lightly scented, and useful at a desk or at home.

Gifts for someone who is stressed or never stops

The best gift for someone stretched thin is often permission to rest. A few ideas that say “take some time for you”:

  • An offer of your time: babysitting, a cooked meal, a lift or an afternoon of their chores
  • A guided journal or a gratitude diary
  • A meditation or yoga app subscription, or a bedtime relaxation audio
  • A weighted blanket or a soft throw
  • A massage voucher they have to book for themselves

For a fuller list of calming ideas, see our gifts for anxiety guide. If someone you love is really struggling, the kindest thing may be to encourage them to talk to their GP.

Self-care gift box: how to build one

A homemade self-care gift box often feels more personal than a ready-made hamper, and you control exactly what goes in. Four steps:

  1. Pick one theme. A sleep box, a calm evening box, a pamper night or a winter walk kit. One clear theme looks more thoughtful than a random mix.
  2. Choose one hero item. The thing they will use most, such as a weighted blanket, a silk eye mask, a candle or a tin of hot chocolate.
  3. Add three to five small extras. Herbal tea, a lip balm, cosy socks, a notebook or a bar of good dark chocolate.
  4. Finish with a personal touch. A handwritten note, a few journal prompts or a date for something you will do together.

Before you fill it, check whether they enjoy baths, whether they like strong scents and whether they have any allergies or food restrictions. If you are posting it, a slim letterbox-sized box saves a trip to the sorting office.

What to put in a self-care box, by budget

Budget Sleep box Calm evening box Pamper night box
Under £20 Eye mask, earplugs, chamomile tea Notebook, herbal tea, dark chocolate Face mask, lip balm, bath salts
Under £50 Silk eye mask, pillow spray, bedtime drink Guided journal, candle, hot chocolate and a mug Hand cream, candle, cosy socks
Under £100 Sunrise alarm or weighted throw Massage voucher or yoga class pass Skincare set and a robe

Prices vary by shop and change over the season, so treat the bands as a rough guide. Our wellness gifts by budget guide goes into more detail at each price point, and our self-care ideas list is a good source of small, free extras to write on cards for the box. If you would like to add something of ours for an adult who will enjoy it, the reishi cacao suits a calm evening box and the Magnesium Glycinate Sleep Complex suits a sleep box; see the bundle builder for gift combinations.

Gifts for better sleep

Sleep gifts are some of the most used presents of the year, because everyone sleeps every night. The simplest ideas make the bedroom darker, quieter or cosier: a blackout eye mask, foam earplugs, a sunrise alarm, a weighted blanket or a new pillow. A warm evening drink can become part of a wind-down routine too.

We have a whole guide to sleep gifts, sorted by the kind of sleeper they are, so we will not repeat it here. If the festive excitement keeps the whole house up, see how to sleep on Christmas Eve.

Experience gifts

Experiences often mean more than things, and they don’t need wrapping. The NHS lists connecting with other people, being physically active and learning new skills among its five steps to mental wellbeing, and a good experience gift can tick all three.

  • A spa day, or a sports or aromatherapy massage
  • A course of yoga, Pilates or breathwork classes
  • A cooking or pottery class for two
  • A sound bath or a cold-water swim session
  • A weekend away somewhere quiet

For a smaller budget, plan a winter walk with a flask and a pub lunch, and write the date in their card.

Before you give a supplement as a gift

Supplements can be a thoughtful gift for the right adult, but a quick check avoids awkwardness and keeps everyone safe:

  • Adults only. All our products are for adults (18+). They are not for children, and never for pets.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding. We don’t recommend our products during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Ashwagandha (in our Flow oil) should also be avoided in pregnancy. See ashwagandha side effects.
  • Medication. Don’t gift CBD to someone on medication unless they have checked with their GP or pharmacist first. CBD can interact with some medicines, including blood thinners and some antidepressants. See CBD and medication.
  • CBD only for people who already use it. CBD is a personal choice, so it suits someone who already has it in their routine better than a surprise.
  • Drug testing. Choose broad spectrum or isolate, never full spectrum. Our CBD products are broad spectrum with 0% THC.
  • Caffeine. Our reishi cacao contains a little natural caffeine from the cacao, so bear that in mind for someone who avoids it.

Our CBD oils are on the FSA public list of CBD products linked to novel food applications. The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.

FAQs

What are good Christmas wellness gifts?

Gifts people will use every day: a sunrise alarm clock, a weighted blanket, a silk eye mask, a reishi hot chocolate, a magnesium evening drink, or an experience such as a massage or a class. Choose around what they most need, whether that is sleep, calm evenings or recovery.

What are the best wellness gifts for her in the UK?

Choose by what she enjoys: for sleep, a silk eye mask or sunrise alarm; for calm, a guided journal or massage voucher; for self-care, a bath ritual or a cosy hot chocolate; for movement, a yoga class pass or good walking kit. All are easy to buy in the UK before Christmas.

What are good Christmas wellness gifts for him?

Practical gifts work best: a head torch or flask for winter walks, a foam roller or massage ball, a reishi hot chocolate instead of a nightcap, a sunrise alarm, or a sauna or cold-water session you book together.

What wellness gifts can I give my mum?

A weighted blanket, a SAD lamp for dark mornings, a bath ritual set, a magnesium evening drink, a cooling pillow for the menopause years, or simply your time, such as a meal you cook or a day out you plan.

What is a good self-care gift for her?

An evening wind-down kit works well: a magnesium sleep drink, a mug, an eye mask and a book. A spa day, a massage or a yoga class pass is a lovely bigger treat.

What should I put in a self-care gift box?

Pick one theme, such as sleep, a calm evening or a pamper night. Add one hero item, like an eye mask, candle or hot chocolate, then three to five small extras such as herbal tea, lip balm, cosy socks or a notebook, and finish with a handwritten note.

What is a good self-care gift for a best friend?

Something personal you can share: a spa afternoon or long walk together, a night-in box with a face mask, tea and a film voucher, or a guided journal with your own prompts written inside the cover.

What counts as a wellness or wellbeing gift?

Any present that makes everyday life a little healthier or calmer: something for better sleep, a quieter mind, more movement or more time with people. In the UK the two words are used for the same kind of gift.

Is it OK to give CBD as a gift?

Yes, for adults who already use CBD. It is not suitable for anyone under 18 or during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and anyone on medication should check with their GP or pharmacist first. Choose a broad spectrum product with lab reports.

What is a good wellness Secret Santa gift?

Keep it simple and skip supplements: an eye mask, a box of herbal teas, a hand cream, a massage ball for the desk or a small notebook. You rarely know a colleague’s medication or health, so non-ingestible gifts are safest.

Are supplements a good Christmas gift?

They can be for adults who already take them or have asked for one. Check first for pregnancy, breastfeeding and regular medication, and avoid them for children and for anyone you do not know well, such as colleagues.

Can I send an Evopure gift straight to someone?

Yes. At checkout, tick “deliver to a different address” and enter their address, and we’ll send it straight to them. Check our delivery page for last order dates before Christmas.
