Last updated: November 2026. FSA public list checked 6 November 2026.
CBD gummies are chewy sweets with a set amount of CBD in each one. In the UK they are legal when the exact product is on the FSA public list and has no more than 1mg of THC per pack. Most UK gummies hold 10mg to 30mg each, so one gummy can be above the FSA’s 10mg a day advice.
Evopure doesn’t sell gummies. For a fixed amount with no sugar or gelatine, Evopure’s Broad Spectrum CBD Capsules hold 10mg each in a vegan capsule, are on the FSA public list and are lab tested batch by batch.
Our pick
Broad Spectrum CBD Capsules 10mg: one capsule is 10mg of broad spectrum CBD, with inulin (a plant fibre) in a vegan HPMC capsule. Prefer to adjust your amount? Broad Spectrum CBD Oil 500mg gives 10mg in about 0.2ml (half a pipette is 17.5mg).

What are CBD gummies?
CBD gummies are sweets made with a CBD extract, a sweetener and a gelling agent, with a stated amount of CBD per gummy. The CBD is usually isolate (pure CBD) or broad spectrum extract. Unlike THC, CBD doesn’t get you high, and the FSA treats CBD gummies as a novel food that must be on its public list.
A typical label lists the CBD (see what is CBD isolate? and full vs broad spectrum), sugar, glucose syrup or a sweetener, gelatine (from animals) or pectin (from fruit, so vegan), and flavouring. The CBD is swallowed and absorbed through the gut, as with oil or capsules: see how long CBD takes to work.
How much CBD is in a CBD gummy?
Most CBD gummies sold in the UK contain between 10mg and 30mg of CBD each, and some go much higher. The FSA advises healthy adults to have no more than 10mg of CBD a day, so a single 25mg gummy is two and a half times that figure. Always read the mg per gummy, not the total on the tub.
Here are widely sold UK gummies, using each brand’s own figures and our check of the FSA public list:
| Gummy | CBD per gummy | FSA public list |
|---|---|---|
| Cannaray Bright Days (Re-Live) | 10mg or 30mg | Validated |
| Naturecan Vegan CBD Gummies | 10mg or 25mg | Validated |
| fourfive CBD Gummies | 10mg | Validated |
| Bristol CBD Vegan CBD Gummies | 20mg | Validated |
| Blessed CBD CBD Gummies 750mg | 25mg | Validated |
| Orange County CBD gummy bears | 16mg to 48mg | Validated |
Brand figures checked 23 October to 1 November 2026; list status from the FSA download on 6 November 2026. Evopure isn’t connected with these brands.
Labels aren’t always right. In a 2025 US test of 56 CBD gummy products, 70% were more than 10% away from the label and 39% contained some THC, so a batch lab report matters. See CBD strengths explained.
Are CBD gummies legal in the UK?
Yes. CBD gummies are legal in the UK when the exact product is on the FSA’s public list of CBD foods linked to novel food applications, and when no single pack contains more than 1mg of THC or other controlled cannabinoids, the Home Office’s exempt product rule. In England and Wales, the FSA says gummies that aren’t on the list, or are marked “Removed”, must be withdrawn from sale.
When we downloaded the FSA list on 6 November 2026, about 1,100 of its 12,115 entries mentioned gummies: 873 “Validated”, 14 “Awaiting evidence” and 221 “Removed”. Search the list by brand and product name before you buy. Our guide to FSA CBD novel food approval explains what each status means, and is CBD legal in the UK? covers the law in full.
Are THC gummies legal in the UK?
No. THC gummies are illegal in the UK. THC is the compound in cannabis that gets you high, and the Home Office classes cannabis and THC as Class B drugs under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. On gov.uk, possession of a Class B drug carries up to 5 years in prison and supply up to 14 years.
- Holiday buys: THC gummies bought legally abroad are still illegal to bring into the UK.
- “Delta-8” gummies: delta-8 is also a Class B drug, and HHC gummies are caught by the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016. See what is delta-8 THC?
- Trace THC: some CBD gummies contain THC without saying so, which matters for drug tests and driving.

Do CBD gummies have benefits?
The proven benefits of CBD gummies are practical: a pre-measured amount, a sweet taste and nothing to measure. No health claims are authorised for CBD in the UK, and research on stress, sleep and pain is small and mixed, often at far higher doses than a gummy holds. Be wary of any gummy that promises to fix a health problem.

How many CBD gummies should I take?
The FSA advises healthy adults to take no more than 10mg of CBD a day from all foods, so that is one 10mg gummy, or less than half of a 25mg gummy. Count CBD from any oils, drinks or capsules you also take.
The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
The FSA advises healthy adults to take no more than 10mg of CBD a day: about 0.2ml of the 500mg (0.1ml of the 1,000mg) gives 10mg. Adults only. Our CBD dosage guide and the FSA’s 10mg a day advice have more.
How do I choose CBD gummies in the UK?
Check six things before you buy CBD gummies: the exact product on the FSA public list, a batch lab report showing CBD per gummy and THC, the mg per gummy against the 10mg advice, the sugar per gummy, gelatine or pectin, and no health claims. The NHS says adults should have no more than 30g of free sugars a day.

- FSA public list: the exact product and strength, “Validated” or “Awaiting evidence”.
- Batch lab report: CBD per gummy matches the label; THC not detected. See how to read a CBD lab report.
- mg per gummy: 10mg or less if you want to keep to the FSA advice in one gummy.
- Sugar: grams per gummy on the label, especially if you take more than one.
- Gelatine or pectin: pectin gummies can be vegan. See is CBD vegan? and is CBD halal?
- A UK company, no health claims and no celebrity endorsements.

Who shouldn’t take CBD gummies?
The FSA doesn’t recommend CBD for under 18s, people taking any medication, or anyone trying to conceive, pregnant or breastfeeding, unless under medical direction. Because CBD gummies look like ordinary sweets, they are easy for a child to eat by mistake.
- Children: store gummies out of sight and reach, in the original pack. If a child eats some, call NHS 111 for advice, or 999 if they are very drowsy or unwell. See CBD for kids.
- Medicines: see will CBD interact with medication?
- Pets: don’t give CBD gummies to pets. Some sugar-free sweets contain xylitol, which is poisonous to dogs; if a pet eats any, call your vet. Our guide to CBD oil for dogs explains the vet route.

CBD gummies, capsules or oil: which should I choose?
Choose gummies for taste, capsules for a fixed amount with no sugar, and oil to adjust your amount. A 2024 trial in healthy men found drops and capsules gave similar blood levels of CBD, and no format has been shown to work better for sleep or stress.
| Format | CBD per serving | Sugar | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gummies | Usually 10mg to 30mg each | Often | People who want a sweet |
| Evopure capsules | 10mg or 25mg each | None | A fixed amount, no taste |
| Evopure oil | 10mg in about 0.2ml (500mg) | None | Adjusting your amount |
