Many UK CBD drinks now contain 10mg of CBD a can, or none at all. Goodrays cans have 10mg, while TRIP’s own site lists no CBD drinks. A CBD oil gives far more per bottle: Evopure’s 500mg Broad Spectrum CBD Oil has 17.5mg per half pipette, and about 0.2ml gives 10mg, with no sugar (labels checked November 2026).
Below: how much CBD is in each format, a side by side table, absorption, how to work out cost per 10mg yourself, and the FSA’s safety advice.
Our pick
Want a measured amount of CBD without the cans or the sugar? Broad Spectrum CBD Oil is just CBD and coconut MCT oil. The 500mg bottle gives 17.5mg per half pipette (0.35ml), so about 0.2ml is 10mg, the same as one 10mg can. Prefer botanicals too? Flow CBD Oil adds 35mg ashwagandha root extract and 35mg maca root extract per half pipette.

CBD drinks vs CBD oil: side by side
A 10mg CBD drink gives you 10mg in 330ml of liquid, plus whatever sugar is in the can. A 10ml bottle of 500mg CBD oil holds 500mg, enough for about 50 servings of 10mg, with no sugar. Here are the numbers from each brand’s own labels:
| Product | CBD per serving | Servings per pack | Sugars and calories |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goodrays CBD drink, 330ml can | 10mg | 12, 24 or 48 cans | About 8g to 12g sugars, 43 to 53kcal a can |
| TRIP Mindful Blend, 250ml can | None | 12, 24 or 48 cans | About 4g to 7g sugars, under 30kcal a can |
| Evopure Broad Spectrum CBD Oil 500mg, 10ml | 17.5mg per half pipette; 10mg in about 0.2ml | About 50 servings of 10mg | No sugar; under 2kcal per 0.2ml |
| Evopure Broad Spectrum CBD Capsules 10mg | 10mg a capsule | 30 capsules | No sugar in the ingredients |
Per-can sugars and calories are our sums from the brands’ per 100ml figures; the oil figure is our estimate for 0.2ml of MCT oil. On the FSA side:
| Product | FSA public list | Amount for 10mg |
|---|---|---|
| Goodrays CBD drinks | Validated (RP-349) | One can |
| Medahuman 250ml drinks | Validated (RP-427), listed at 20mg a can | Half a can, by the list’s figure |
| TRIP Mindful Blend | Not a CBD product | Not applicable |
| Evopure CBD oils and capsules | Validated (RP-438) | About 0.2ml of a 500mg oil, or one 10mg capsule |
“Validated” means a product can stay on sale while its application is assessed; it isn’t a full authorisation. See the FSA’s first CBD approvals explained.
How much CBD is in UK CBD drinks now?
Less than it used to be. Since the FSA cut its advice for healthy adults from 70mg to 10mg a day in October 2023, drinks have moved to 10mg a can or dropped CBD. What we found on 4 November 2026:
- Goodrays: each 330ml can contains 10mg of CBD isolate, and the label says one can is the FSA’s whole daily amount. Earlier versions had 30mg in 250ml. More in our Goodrays CBD drinks guide.
- TRIP: none of the 36 products on Trip’s UK website lists CBD. Its Mindful Blend cans have 120mg of magnesium with lion’s mane, lemon balm and chamomile instead. Trip’s original CBD cans had 15mg each. See do TRIP drinks contain CBD? and Trip Mindful Blend.
- One Living: launched 10mg CBD cans in 330ml at Sainsbury’s in September 2024, according to The Grocer. Its own website now lists kombucha, water kefir and health shots, none with CBD.
- Medahuman: the FSA public list records five 250ml Medahuman drinks at 20mg of CBD each, all Validated. We couldn’t open the brand’s own website, so check the can for the current amount.
Older cans still turn up in shops, so check the exact can. See CBD at Tesco, Asda and Superdrug and Holland and Barrett CBD.
How much CBD is in a CBD oil serving?
It depends on the bottle’s strength, and the label should give you the milligrams per serving. Evopure’s oils come in 10ml bottles, and a half pipette is 0.35ml:
- 500mg bottle: 17.5mg per half pipette; about 0.2ml gives 10mg.
- 1,000mg bottle: 35mg per half pipette; about 0.1ml gives 10mg.
- 2,000mg Broad Spectrum bottle: 70mg per half pipette; about 0.05ml gives 10mg.
Drop sizes vary, so we give amounts in ml. That is the main practical difference from a drink: with oil you choose the amount; with a can it’s fixed. See our CBD dosage chart, how to take CBD oil and the strongest CBD oils in the UK.
Do CBD drinks absorb better than oil?
Nobody knows for sure: no published study has compared a canned CBD drink with an oil held under the tongue. Drinks use a water-soluble form of CBD that mixes into liquid; see what is water-soluble CBD?
The research is small. A 2018 review of 24 human studies found peak blood levels 0 to 4 hours after taking CBD, and higher levels with food or fat-based forms. A 2020 pilot in 10 adults found a water-soluble CBD powder reached about 4.5 times the blood levels of a fat-soluble one, but both were swallowed powders, not drinks or oils.
In practice, the amount on the label matters more than the format. More in CBD bioavailability and how long CBD oil takes to work.
How to work out cost per 10mg
Prices change, so here is the sum instead: divide the price by the total milligrams of CBD in the pack, then multiply by 10.
- For a drinks pack: total CBD = number of cans x CBD per can. A 12-pack of 10mg cans holds 120mg.
- For an oil: total CBD = the strength on the bottle. A 500mg bottle holds 500mg, a 1,000mg bottle 1,000mg.
- For capsules: total CBD = capsules x mg per capsule. A pack of 30 x 10mg holds 300mg.
So a 500mg bottle of oil holds as much CBD as about 50 cans at 10mg. On our own range, Subscribe and save takes 25% off your first subscription order and 20% off every order after (skip, pause or cancel any time), and the bundle builder takes 5% off two items, 10% off three and 20% off four or more.
Which should you choose?
- A CBD drink suits you if you want a ready-measured 10mg in a social drink. Count the sugar, and stick to one a day.
- A CBD oil suits you if you want a daily routine, your own amount in small steps and no sugar.
- Capsules suit you if you want a fixed 10mg with no taste and no measuring. See CBD oil vs capsules and CBD oil vs gummies.

Medication, pregnancy and under-18s
The same rules apply to drinks and oils. The FSA says to take only one CBD product type a day, so a CBD drink plus CBD oil counts twice. It advises against CBD during pregnancy, breastfeeding or when trying to conceive, and says anyone taking medication should speak to a healthcare professional first.
If you take any regular medicines, check with your GP or pharmacist before trying CBD in any form; see can CBD interact with medication? CBD products are for adults (18+) only. For alcohol, driving and workplace tests, see CBD and alcohol, CBD and driving in the UK and CBD and drug tests.
Where Evopure fits
Evopure doesn’t make canned drinks and isn’t connected with any of the brands above. Our CBD oils are broad spectrum, 0% THC and made in the UK from US-grown hemp:
- Broad Spectrum CBD Oil: just CBD and coconut MCT oil, in 500mg, 1,000mg or 2,000mg.
- Flow CBD Oil: a daytime oil with 35mg ashwagandha root extract and 35mg maca root extract per half pipette. Ashwagandha isn’t suitable for everyone, so read ashwagandha side effects first.
- Sleep CBD Oil: an evening oil with 70mg passionflower extract per half pipette.
All our CBD products are on the FSA public list, linked to validated applications RP438, RP821 and RP47, and every batch is third-party lab tested, with reports on request from our lab testing page. Every oil is vegan. For other brands, see choosing a CBD oil in the UK and broad spectrum CBD oil explained.
The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
On our 500mg oils, 10mg is about 0.2ml (a little over half of a half pipette). We don’t recommend our products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
