Is Black Friday a Good Time to Stock Up on Supplements? A UK Guide

Black Friday can be a good time to stock up on supplements you already take and know suit you, as long as you’ll use them before the best-before date.

Black Friday can be a good time to stock up on supplements you already take and know suit you, as long as you’ll use them before the best-before date. Buy a few months’ supply, not a year’s, compare the price per serving, and check whether a subscription saves more over the year. Don’t stock up on something you haven’t tried.

Black Friday 2026 is on Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. This guide covers when stocking up makes sense, how much to buy, how long supplements keep, one-off orders vs subscriptions, and which supplements are worth having in for winter.

When is Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday 2026 is on Friday 27 November and Cyber Monday is on Monday 30 November. Some shops start a week earlier, on what retail marketers now call “Fake Friday” (20 November in 2026), and plenty run offers into December.

Day 2026 date

Cyber Monday Monday 30 November

The best time to plan a stock-up is now, before the sales start: note what you take, how much you have left and what you pay today. That gives you a real price to compare against. Our guide to whether Black Friday deals are worth it explains how to check a discount is genuine.

When stocking up makes sense

Stock up if… Don’t stock up if…
You take it daily and it suits you You’ve never tried it
You’ll finish it well before the best-before date You often forget to take it
The saving is genuine compared with normal prices The “deal” is a different size or strength
You have somewhere cool and dark to store it Your doctor is reviewing your medication

How much should you buy?

A good rule of thumb is three to six months’ supply. That covers the winter, when many people lean on their evening routine most, without leaving bottles to go out of date. Work it out from your daily amount: a 30-serving pouch taken every evening lasts a month, so three pouches see you to the end of February.

Here is how that works out for some common amounts. Use your own daily amount, and check the serving size on your pack.

What you take Daily amount Lasts about For 3 months
30-serving powder 1 serving 1 month 3 packs
30-capsule pack 1 capsule 1 month 3 packs
1,000mg CBD oil 10mg 100 days 1 bottle
1,000mg CBD oil 20mg 50 days 2 bottles

Before you order, check what is already in the cupboard and its dates. Then buy for the months you can count on, not for the whole year. If you’re not sure how much CBD you take each day, our CBD oil strengths guide shows how drops turn into mg.

How long do supplements keep?

Always go by the best-before date on the pack. As a general guide, unopened powders, capsules and oils usually keep for a year or more, but once opened they’re best used within a few months. Store them in a cool, dry, dark place with the lid tightly closed, away from the kettle and hob. CBD oils in particular should be kept out of sunlight. See how to store CBD oil.

Food supplements carry a best-before date rather than a use-by date. Under UK food labelling rules, use-by dates are about safety and best-before dates are about quality. For a supplement, the best-before date is the date up to which the maker stands behind the amounts on the label, so plan to finish a stock-up before then.

  • Check the dates when your order arrives, and put the newest packs at the back.
  • Open one pack at a time. Unopened packs keep better than opened ones.
  • Avoid the bathroom and the windowsill. Steam, heat and light are the enemies of oils and powders.
  • Keep everything out of reach of children. Our products are for adults (18+) only.

Stocking up on CBD: extra checks

CBD oils and capsules are among the most popular things to stock up on in the sales, and a few extra checks are worth a minute of your time.

  • Stick to the strength you know. A bigger bottle at a lower strength isn’t the same product.
  • Check the FSA public list. CBD food supplements sold in England and Wales should be linked to an application on the FSA’s list. In September 2026 the FSA board recommended the first CBD authorisations, at 10mg a day: see the FSA’s first CBD approvals explained.
  • Ask for the batch lab report. It should show the CBD content and THC. Ours are on our lab testing page.
  • Capsules or oil? Capsules give the same amount every time; oils let you adjust by the drop. Our guide to the best CBD capsules in the UK compares the two.

The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.

We don’t recommend our products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Doing the maths

Compare the cost per serving or per mg, not the headline discount. Our Black Friday sale, Friday 27 to Monday 30 November 2026, is applied automatically at checkout on one-off orders:

You spend You save
Up to £49.99 25% off
£50 or more 30% off
£100 or more 40% off

Because the saving grows with your basket, stocking up on two or three months of a product you already use can move you into a higher tier. UK standard delivery is free on every order during the sale. See our Black Friday magnesium and supplement deals. For a worked example of cost per mg, read are Black Friday deals worth it?

The sale covers everything we make, including our CBD oils, capsules and balm. Members of our early access list can shop from Thursday 26 November. The latest details, including how to join the list, are on our CBD Black Friday page; if anything there differs from this guide, the offer page is the one to go by.

One-off orders vs subscriptions

If you take something every day, a subscription can work out better over the year than a one-off stock-up. During Black Friday, Subscribe and Save gives 30% off your first subscription order, then 20% off repeat deliveries. The spend tiers apply to one-off orders and can’t be combined with subscription discounts.

One-off stock-up Subscription
Best for A few months’ supply in one go Products you take all year
Storage Needs space and shelf life Arrives as you need it
Flexibility Buy once Skip, pause or cancel

Some people do both: a one-off order in the sale for something they use now and then, and a subscription for the thing they take every night. Whichever you choose, make sure you can change or cancel a subscription online without a phone call.

Supplements worth having in for winter

Check with your GP or pharmacist before starting anything new if you take regular medication.

FAQs

Is Black Friday a good time to buy supplements?

It can be, for supplements you already take and will use before the best-before date. Compare cost per serving and don’t buy something new just because it’s discounted.

How long do supplements last once opened?

Usually a few months. Check the pack, keep the lid closed and store them somewhere cool, dry and dark.

Is it better to subscribe or buy in bulk?

For something you take all year, a subscription spreads the cost and avoids storage. For a few months’ supply, a one-off order in the sale can be better value.

Can I combine Black Friday discounts with Subscribe and Save?

No. The spend tiers apply to one-off orders. Subscriptions get 30% off the first order during the sale, then 20% off repeat deliveries.

Do supplements go off?

They become less effective after their best-before date. Oils and powders can also spoil if stored somewhere warm or damp.

When is Black Friday 2026?

Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. Our sale runs across all four days, and members of our early access list can shop from Thursday 26 November.

How much should I stock up on Black Friday?

Three to six months’ supply of something you take every day is plenty for most people. Work it out from your daily amount, check what you already have, and only buy what you’ll finish before the best-before date.

Can I take supplements after the best-before date?

Best-before dates are about quality rather than safety, but after that date the maker no longer stands behind the amounts on the label. We’d plan your stock-up so you finish each pack before its date.
