Yes, Savers lists a magnesium glycinate: Vit Store Magnesium Glysinate Tablets, spelt that way on its website. But when we checked in November 2026, the ingredients on that page named magnesium oxide and vitamin B6, not glycinate, so read the pack. BetterYou Magnesium Max powder, which includes glycinate, gives 375mg a day.
Everything below comes from the Savers website, checked on 1 November 2026. Evopure isn’t connected with Savers, and we don’t rate or review other brands.
What magnesium does Savers sell?
A search for “magnesium” on the Savers website returned 42 products. These are the ones you swallow, with the magnesium form each page lists:
| Product | Form listed | Magnesium given online | Serving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vit Store Magnesium Glysinate Tablets | Oxide (name says glycinate) | Not given | 1 tablet |
| Vitamin Store Magnesium 375mg and B6 (30) | Oxide | 375mg in the name | 1 tablet |
| Vit Store Magnesium and B6 (90) | Oxide | Not given | 1 tablet |
| Vitabiotics Ultra Magnesium (60) | Hydroxide | Not given | 2 tablets |
| BetterYou Magnesium Max 3-in-1 Powder | Citrate, glycinate, malate | 375mg | 4.5g teaspoon |
| Virtuvits Magnesium Gummies (60) | Citrate | Not given | 2 gummies |
| Vit Store Effervescent Magnesium Plus MV | Oxide, bisglycinate, citrate | Not given | 1 tablet in water |
Savers also listed a Vitamin Healthcare Zinc and Magnesium capsule, a Vitamin Store Calcium Magnesium Zinc tablet, two BetterYou sprays, magnesium and Epsom bath flakes, and Milk of Magnesia, which is an indigestion remedy rather than a supplement. Stock varies by store, so treat this as a snapshot. For what each form means, see the types of magnesium.

View productSavers magnesium glycinate
The only product on the Savers website sold by the glycinate name is Vit Store Magnesium Glysinate Tablets. The pack in the photo reads “Magnesium Glycinate”, vegan friendly. The page itself shows:
- Ingredients: magnesium oxide, cellulose, calcium carbonate and other tablet ingredients, plus vitamin B6. Glycinate isn’t named.
- Amounts: none given, so we can’t tell you how much magnesium a tablet holds.
- Use: adults and children over 12, one tablet a day with a meal.
That ingredient list matches Savers’ Magnesium and B6 tablets word for word, so it may be a website mix-up. Either way, check the label before you buy: if magnesium oxide comes first, it is mainly an oxide tablet.
Two other products on the site do list glycinate, as part of a mix: BetterYou Magnesium Max powder (citrate, glycinate and malate) and the Vit Store Effervescent Magnesium Plus MV (oxide, bisglycinate and citrate). Bisglycinate and glycinate usually mean the same thing; see our bisglycinate guide and the magnesium glycinate guide.
Label maths: what to check on the pack
Most Savers pages don’t show a nutrition table, so the pack is where you’ll find the real figure. Look for the elemental magnesium, the magnesium itself, not the weight of the whole compound. Each form carries a different share of magnesium:
| Form | Magnesium by weight (approx.) | Compound for 300mg of magnesium |
|---|---|---|
| Oxide | 60% | About 500mg |
| Hydroxide | 42% | About 720mg |
| Citrate | 16% | About 1,850mg |
| Glycinate (bisglycinate) | 14% | About 2,100mg |
These are our sums for the pure compounds. So a single small tablet with a big magnesium number is almost always oxide, while glycinate needs two or more large capsules or a scoop of powder. The Vitabiotics Ultra tablets give 375mg from two tablets, according to Asda’s listing of the same pack; see also Vitabiotics Ultra Magnesium.
Savers magnesium tablets, zinc and B6
- Vitamin Store Magnesium 375mg and B6 (30) and Vit Store Magnesium and B6 (90): the same ingredient list, magnesium oxide with vitamin B6, one a day. Both are labelled for over-12s.
- Vitamin Healthcare Zinc and Magnesium (150 capsules): the page lists just “zinc, magnesium”, with no forms or amounts. More in magnesium vs zinc.
- Vitamin Store Calcium Magnesium Zinc (90): calcium carbonate, magnesium oxide and zinc oxide with vitamin D and B6, two tablets a day, for adults and over-12s.
Oxide is the least absorbed of the common forms: a US lab study measured only about 4% of oxide absorbed. In a 60-day UK trial in 46 healthy adults, citrate raised blood magnesium more than an amino-acid chelate or oxide. See magnesium oxide, or compare forms in glycinate vs citrate vs threonate.
Savers magnesium gummies, powder and citrate
Savers listed no plain citrate tablets or capsules. Citrate turns up in these:
- Virtuvits Magnesium Gummies (60): magnesium citrate with vitamin B6, two gummies a day. Sugar is the first ingredient. The page says they aren’t suitable for children or for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
- BetterYou Magnesium Max 3-in-1 Powder: citrate, glycinate and malate with lemon and lime flavour and stevia. One level teaspoon (4.5g) gives 375mg of magnesium. Our BetterYou magnesium guide covers the range.
- Vit Store Effervescent Magnesium Plus MV: oxide, bisglycinate and citrate with B vitamins, vitamins C and E and sweeteners, one tablet in 200ml of water, for over-12s.
More in magnesium citrate and magnesium powder vs tablets.
Does Savers sell magnesium spray?
Yes. It listed the BetterYou Magnesium Oil Body Spray and the BetterYou Magnesium Sleep Body Spray (75ml each); the sleep spray is magnesium chloride in water with lavender and chamomile oils. For the bath there were BetterYou Magnesium Sleep Flakes, Westlab Magnesium Flakes and two Westlab Epsom salts (1kg and 1.8kg). We found no magnesium cream or paste.
Sprays and flakes go on your skin, not in your mouth. A 2017 review concluded that absorbing magnesium through the skin is scientifically unsupported. See magnesium spray, magnesium flakes and Epsom salt baths.
Where Evopure fits
We sell online, direct. These are different products, not swaps:
- Magnesium Glycinate Sleep Complex: a berry drink powder with magnesium bisglycinate and citrate (148mg of magnesium per serving), glycine, L-theanine, chamomile, passionflower, hops and oat straw. Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal psychological function. Subscribe and Save works out cheaper per serving, and you can skip, pause or cancel any time.
- Reishi Mushroom Adaptogenic Complex: a reishi hot chocolate with cocoa, reishi mushroom, maca, cinnamon and coconut sugar. It contains a little natural caffeine.
- Sleep CBD Oil: broad spectrum CBD with 0% THC, plus passion flower and a terpene blend led by myrcene. CBD isn’t a treatment for sleep problems. If you take any regular medicines, check with your GP or pharmacist first.
The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
All three are vegan and made in the UK, for adults (18+) only. We don’t recommend our products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How much a day, and who should check first
The NHS says adults aged 19 to 64 need 300mg of magnesium a day (men) or 270mg a day (women), most of which you should get from food. It adds that 400mg or less a day from supplements is unlikely to cause any harm, and that more than 400mg for a short time can cause diarrhoea.
Add up everything you take: the Magnesium Max powder alone gives 375mg, so adding a tablet or a multivitamin can take you well past 400mg. Several of these pages say to check with a doctor, pharmacist or healthcare professional first if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication.
iSavers sold no magnesium made for young children; the Vit Store tablets are labelled for over-12s. Ask a GP or pharmacist before giving any supplement to a child (ours are for adults only), and see magnesium for kids.
No health claim linking magnesium to sleep is authorised in the UK, and the trials are small. A 2021 review of three trials in 151 older adults rated the evidence low to very low quality. See magnesium for sleep, how much magnesium per day and magnesium side effects.
