CBD Brothers is a family-run CBD company based near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. Its colour-coded oils come in two families: whole plant “Edition” oils (Green, Blue, Purple, Gold, Silver, White and Red), labelled under 0.01% THC, and THC free “Pure” oils (Pure Black, Green, Blue and Purple) made with CBD isolate and terpenes.
Strengths run from 0.75mg to 6mg of CBD per drop. On 26 October 2026, all 70 CBD Brothers entries on the FSA public list were “Validated”. Evopure isn’t connected with CBD Brothers.

The CBD Brothers Edition oils: Green, Blue, Purple and more
The Edition oils use what CBD Brothers calls a “complete cannabinoid extract” in organic hemp seed oil. Figures from cbdbrothers.com, checked 26 October 2026:

The colour tells you the plant type and strength, not a flavour. CBD Brothers tags Green, Blue and Gold for morning use, Purple for all day use, and Silver, White and Red for night use. Purple is 70% Indica and 30% Sativa.
Blue vs Purple: Blue is a Sativa oil at 5% (2.5mg a drop); Purple is a hybrid at 3.2% (1.6mg a drop). The labels describe the source plants, not evidence that one oil does more than another. Our guide to CBD oil strengths, mg and drops explains how to compare any two oils.
The Pure oils, including CBD Brothers Pure Black
The Pure range is CBD Brothers’ THC free line: CBD isolate in organic hemp seed oil, with added terpenes, in colours that mirror the Edition range. All are 10ml bottles:

Pure Black is the strongest oil on the site and the only black oil on sale when we checked. Its label lists 18 terpenes, including myrcene and linalool, and CBD Brothers calls it “100% THC free”. We didn’t find a whole plant Black Edition oil on sale, although the FSA list still names one. Read more on CBD isolate and what terpenes are.
Whole plant or THC free? THC and drug tests
Each Edition oil page says “this product contains <0.01% THC”. These are whole plant oils, closer to full spectrum than broad spectrum. CBD Brothers’ FAQ says some of its products “contain trace amounts of THC” and “can test positive in a workplace or roadside drug test”. The Pure oils are the THC free option.
THC is a controlled drug in the UK; a CBD product is only outside those controls if it meets the Home Office’s strict “exempt product” rules. CBD Brothers dosage and the FSA’s 10mg advice
CBD Brothers suggests 2 to 3 drops once a day for ten to fourteen days, then adding one drop at a time. A 10ml bottle holds about 190 to 200 drops. Drops for about 10mg:

The dosage note on the product pages still quotes the FSA’s earlier 70mg figure. Since October 2023, the Food Standards Agency has advised healthy adults to have no more than 10mg of CBD a day, repeated in its guidance updated 28 August 2026. It’s precautionary advice, not a legal limit. The FSA doesn’t recommend CBD for under-18s, anyone pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, or people taking any medication, unless under medical direction. Where Evopure fits
Evopure is a separate UK company. If you want a THC free oil with a simple drop count, ours are:

The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
Is CBD Brothers on the FSA public list?
Yes. CBD food sold in England and Wales must be linked to an application on this list. We downloaded it on 26 October 2026 and found 70 CBD Brothers entries, all “Validated”:
- RP-438 (57 entries, with Greenleaf Processing Ltd): the Green, Blue, Purple, Gold, Silver, White, Red and Black Edition oils, Purple Plus, Gold whole plant extract and the Edition capsules.
- RP-427 (13 entries): the Pure Black, Blue, Green and Purple oils, Pure capsules, the 10mg, 25mg and 50mg gummies, and Active Edition products.
Some sizes differ from the shop: the list names Silver, White and Red in 5ml and 10ml bottles, and Pure Black at 1,000mg, while the site sells 1ml bottles and a 1,200mg Pure Black. Ask CBD Brothers which entry covers your bottle.
“Validated” means the application has the information needed for a safety assessment. The FSA says validation is not the same as authorisation, but validated products can stay on sale while they are assessed. See what the FSA’s CBD decision means.
CBD Brothers lab testing
CBD Brothers says it tests in-house on Agilent equipment for 10 cannabinoids, including CBD, CBDA, THC and THCA, compares its results against an ISO-accredited laboratory, and is working towards ISO accreditation itself. We found no downloadable certificates on the site, so ask for the one for your batch.

CBD Brothers capsules, gummies and extracts
- Capsules: Edition capsules from 7mg (Green) to 62.5mg (Blue) per capsule; THC free Pure capsules; and Pure Black capsules at 60mg each.
- Gummies: 10mg, 25mg and 50mg per gummy, described as vegan and THC free. See CBD oil vs gummies.
- Whole plant extract: 1g syringes of Green or Purple paste, which CBD Brothers suggests using in rice-grain amounts.
- Purple Plus: a water soluble version at 8mg per pump, for mixing into drinks. See water soluble CBD.
Many hold more than 10mg a piece, so check the label. Some CBD Brothers products are also sold through Boots.

FAQs
Is CBD Brothers oil full spectrum?
The Edition oils (Green, Blue, Purple, Gold, Silver, White, Red) are whole plant oils labelled under 0.01% THC, so they’re closer to full spectrum. The Pure oils use CBD isolate with terpenes and are THC free.
What is CBD Brothers Pure Black oil?
A THC free oil made with CBD isolate, organic hemp seed oil and 18 terpenes. It’s 12%, or 1,200mg in 10ml, at about 6mg of CBD per drop.
What’s the difference between CBD Brothers Blue and Purple?
Blue is a Sativa whole plant oil at 5% (2.5mg a drop) in sizes up to 100ml. Purple is a 70% Indica, 30% Sativa hybrid at 3.2% (1.6mg a drop). Both are CO2 extracted.
Where are CBD Brothers based?
