Last updated: October 2026
Aldi UK doesn’t list a magnesium supplement. When we checked aldi.co.uk in October 2026, a search for magnesium found no products, and the Vitamins and Supplements aisle held nine ACTIV-MAX products, none sold as magnesium tablets, gummies or glycinate. The A-Z multivitamin may contain some, but its page gives no amounts.
Facts come from Aldi’s own website. Evopure isn’t sold by or connected with Aldi, and we don’t rate or review other brands.
What vitamins and supplements does Aldi sell?
Aldi’s own brand for supplements is ACTIV-MAX. Its online Vitamins and Supplements aisle listed these nine products:
| ACTIV-MAX product | How Aldi describes it | Magnesium listed? |
|---|---|---|
| High Strength Multivitamins (60) | A-Z multivitamin and mineral tablets | No amounts given |
| Multivitamin Gummies (60) | Adults and children over 3 | No amounts given |
| Kids Orange and Strawberry Multivitamin Gummies | Children’s gummies | No amounts given |
| Energise Mango Effervescent (20) | Vitamin B tablets | No |
| Vitamin C and Orange Vitamin C Effervescent | Vitamin C tablets | No |
| High Strength Vitamin C and Vitamin D | Vitamin C; vitamin D3 tablets | No |
Aldi’s product pages give the name, pack size and a short description, but no ingredients or nutrition table. Aldi asks shoppers to read the label before use, so check the pack in store.
Does Aldi sell magnesium tablets, glycinate or gummies?
Not when we checked. Searches on aldi.co.uk for “magnesium”, “glycinate” and “epsom” each returned no products, so we found no Aldi magnesium tablets, glycinate, gummies, spray or bath salts online.
Two things can change that. Aldi’s Specialbuys rotate every week; the Health and Beauty Specialbuys from 25 October were beauty and grooming items, not supplements. And Aldi says its online stock information is only an estimate. Many “Aldi magnesium” results online come from Aldi in Germany or Australia (searches like “Aldi magnesium Brausetabletten” mean effervescent tablets), which sell different ranges.
Label maths: how to check any magnesium you find
Labels can give the weight of the whole magnesium compound or the elemental magnesium, the magnesium itself, which is what counts. Always read the nutrition table, which lists magnesium in mg and as a percentage of the nutrient reference value (NRV). The NRV for magnesium is 375mg, so a tablet giving 100% NRV holds 375mg of magnesium.
A multivitamin often gives much less than a magnesium tablet: Tesco’s 50+ A-Z multivitamin, for example, lists 100mg. The form matters too: a small US study measured only about 4% of magnesium oxide absorbed, and a UK trial found citrate raised blood magnesium more than oxide. See the types of magnesium, magnesium oxide and magnesium citrate.
Where Evopure fits
Evopure sells online, direct from our own website. Our products are different, not like-for-like swaps:
- Magnesium Glycinate Sleep Complex: a berry drink powder with magnesium bisglycinate and citrate (148mg of magnesium per serving), glycine, L-theanine, chamomile, passionflower, hops and oat straw. Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Reishi Mushroom Adaptogenic Complex: a reishi hot chocolate with organic cacao and maca. It contains a little natural caffeine.
- Sleep CBD Oil: broad spectrum CBD with 0% THC, plus passion flower, for an evening routine. CBD isn’t a treatment for sleep problems.
The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
All three are vegan and made in the UK, for adults (18+) only. We don’t recommend our products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Where else to buy magnesium in the UK
Other high street shops sell own-brand magnesium. We’ve checked the ranges at Tesco, Boots, Superdrug, Holland and Barrett and Home Bargains, with the form and magnesium per serving for each.
For sleep, the research is modest. A 2021 review of three small trials in older adults found people fell asleep about 17 minutes faster than with placebo, on low-quality evidence. A 2025 trial in 155 adults with poor sleep found a small benefit from 250mg of magnesium bisglycinate. See magnesium glycinate and magnesium for sleep, and for comparing products anywhere, our UK magnesium supplement guide.
How much magnesium a day?
The NHS says adults need 300mg (men) or 270mg (women) of magnesium a day, and that you should be able to get it from a varied diet. Having 400mg or less a day from supplements is unlikely to cause harm; more than that can cause diarrhoea. If you take a multivitamin too, add up the magnesium in both. More in how much magnesium per day and foods high in magnesium.
Speak to a pharmacist or GP first if you are pregnant, take medication or have a kidney condition, and before giving a child any supplement.
