Last updated: October 2026
Zooki magnesium is magnesium bisglycinate in a liposomal formula, sold as pineapple-flavoured liquid sachets and as capsules. When we checked zooki.com in October 2026, one 17ml sachet gave 200mg of elemental magnesium (53% NRV) from 2,000mg of bisglycinate. Two capsules gave 100mg (27% NRV) from 840mg.

What’s in Zooki magnesium sachets and capsules?
Zooki’s product page, checked 26 October 2026, listed:
| Per daily serving | Liquid sachets | Capsules |
|---|---|---|
| Serving | 1 sachet (17ml) | 2 capsules |
| Magnesium bisglycinate | 2,000mg | 840mg |
| Elemental magnesium | 200mg (53% NRV) | 100mg (27% NRV) |
| Flavour | Pineapple | None |
| Main other ingredients | Glycerin, water, FOS, MCT oil, maltodextrin, lecithin | Gum arabic, sunflower lecithin, inulin, HPMC shell |
| Vegan | Yes | Yes |
In the sachets, coconut-sourced glycerin comes first, then water and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), a type of fibre. Flavourings are vanilla, pineapple and cinnamon extracts. No sugar or sweetener appears in the ingredients, and the page gives no sugar or calorie figure.
2,000mg or 200mg? The label maths
“2,000mg of Magnesium Glycinate” is the weight of the whole compound; the magnesium itself is 200mg, about a tenth. Likewise the “840mg” capsules give 100mg. Zooki states both figures, and the elemental one is what to compare. See types of magnesium and our magnesium glycinate guide.
How to take Zooki magnesium
- Sachets: one a day, straight or mixed into water, juice, a smoothie or yoghurt. Store at room temperature, or in the fridge for taste.
- Capsules: two a day, with or without food.
- When: Zooki suggests 1 to 2 hours before bed, or in the morning. See the best time to take magnesium.

Prefer a magnesium drink powder?
Here’s what we make. They’re different products, not like-for-like swaps.
- Magnesium Glycinate Sleep Complex: a berry-flavoured drink powder with magnesium bisglycinate and citrate (148mg of magnesium per serving), glycine, L-theanine, chamomile, passionflower, hops and oat straw. Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Reishi Mushroom Adaptogenic Complex: a reishi hot chocolate with reishi mushroom extract, organic cacao, maca, coconut milk powder and coconut sugar. It contains a little natural caffeine from the cacao.
- Sleep CBD Oil: broad spectrum CBD with 0% THC, passion flower and a terpene blend led by myrcene. See how much CBD to take.
The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
All three are vegan, made in the UK, third-party lab tested and for adults (18+) only. We don’t recommend our products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Does liposomal magnesium absorb better?
Zooki says its magnesium is wrapped in lipid bubbles (liposomes) and that its liposomal formula is “clinically proven to deliver up to 4x greater absorption”. The trial it describes was of its liposomal vitamin C, which it says uses the same technology. Its clinical trials page listed vitamin C, glutathione, iron and turmeric studies, none on magnesium.
Independent evidence is thin. A 2022 US trial in 25 adults compared a liposomal multivitamin with a standard one: iron absorption was higher, but magnesium showed no difference (at a small dose, about 22mg). We found no published human trial of liposomal magnesium bisglycinate. So the absorption claim is the brand’s. For how the forms compare, see glycinate vs citrate vs threonate.
Zooki magnesium for sleep
Zooki’s page uses authorised magnesium claims (nervous system, psychological function, tiredness and fatigue) and lists sleep-category awards. No health claim linking magnesium to sleep is authorised in the UK. In a 2025 German trial, 155 adults with poor sleep took 250mg of magnesium as bisglycinate or a placebo; insomnia scores improved a little more with magnesium, a small effect. A 2021 review found only three small, low-quality trials.

Safety, side effects and where it’s sold
- How much: the NHS says adults need 300mg (men) or 270mg (women) a day, and that 400mg or less a day from supplements is unlikely to cause harm; more than that can cause diarrhoea. One sachet is 200mg, so add up anything else you take. See how much magnesium per day.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding: Zooki advises asking a health professional first. See magnesium in pregnancy.
- Kidney problems or medicines: ask your GP or pharmacist first. See magnesium side effects.
- Where to buy: Zooki lists Boots, Holland and Barrett, Ocado, selected Sainsbury’s, Selfridges and Harrods. See the ranges at Boots and Holland and Barrett.

How much magnesium is in Zooki magnesium capsules?
Two capsules give 100mg of elemental magnesium (27% NRV), from 840mg of magnesium bisglycinate.
