Lemme Sleep is a US sleep gummy that contains melatonin: 5mg in each two-gummy serving, with L-theanine, a little magnesium and a chamomile, elderberry and lavender blend. Melatonin is a prescription-only medicine in the UK, so UK shops can’t legally sell it, and Lemme’s own UK website doesn’t list it (checked October 2026).

What’s in Lemme Sleep gummies?
Lemme’s US product page lists these amounts for Lemme Sleep, also sold as “Sleep Tight Gummies” (checked 28 October 2026):

The directions are two gummies about 30 minutes before bed. The label says they are not for under-18s, warns against driving within eight hours if you feel groggy, and advises checking with a doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, unwell or on medication.

Can you buy Lemme Sleep in the UK?
Not legally from a UK seller. The NHS says melatonin is prescription-only and that melatonin supplements are not authorised for sale in the UK. Under the Human Medicines Regulations 2012, prescription-only medicines can only be supplied against a prescription, and the MHRA has told Which? it treats any melatonin product as a medicine, gummies included.
- Lemme’s UK website: on 28 October 2026 its UK store didn’t list Lemme Sleep, and the UK address for the product took us back to the UK home page.
- Boots and other UK pharmacies: they can only supply melatonin on prescription.
- Amazon UK: our search for “lemme sleep” on 28 October 2026 showed other brands’ gummies, not Lemme Sleep. Melatonin listings on UK marketplaces are illegal; Which? found many in 2026, most removed once reported.
- Ordering from abroad: the NHS says ordering melatonin online is not recommended. Owning melatonin isn’t a criminal offence, but parcels of unlicensed medicines can be stopped at the border.

Is there a UK version of Lemme Sleep without melatonin?
Not that we could find. Lemme’s UK site does list a different product, Lemme Relax Magnesium Soft Chews. Each chew lists 100mg of magnesium, 300mg of KSM-66 ashwagandha, 100mg of L-theanine and tart cherry extract, and no melatonin. Lemme Chill ashwagandha gummies are listed too. Is 5mg of melatonin a lot?
By UK standards, yes. For short-term sleep problems in adults, the NHS says the usual prescribed dose is one 2mg slow-release tablet; for longer-term problems a doctor may raise it, up to a maximum of 10mg a day. A full serving of Lemme Sleep is two and a half times that usual 2mg dose.
Labels are another reason for caution. A 2023 analysis of 25 US melatonin gummy products found only 3 within 10% of the labelled amount; the rest ranged from 74% to 347%. See also melatonin vs CBD for sleep.
What UK adults can buy instead
Nothing on a UK shelf works like melatonin, and no supplement is a treatment for insomnia. The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
