Hifas da Terra is a Spanish mushroom biotechnology company from Galicia that makes organic mushroom supplements. When we checked its UK website in October 2026, its best-known capsules, Mico-Rei (reishi) and Mico-Leo (lion’s mane), listed about 1g of fruiting body extract per two-capsule daily serving. It sells direct to UK addresses.

These are facts from Hifas da Terra’s own website, not a review. Evopure isn’t connected with Hifas da Terra.

What is Hifas da Terra?

Hifas da Terra describes itself as the biotechnology company of the Hifas Group, with “mushroom biotechnology from Spain” and more than 25 years of experience. It says it is present in more than 17 countries, and its chief executive is Catalina F. de Ana Portela. The supplements are made in Galicia, in north-west Spain.

On its UK site, checked 26 October 2026, it says:

  • Its supplements are made with 100% pure, organic mushrooms, certified under European organic production by CRAEGA, the Galician organic body.
  • Each batch is tested for pesticides and heavy metals by external laboratories (it names Eurofins and CRAEGA), under its own Hifas Quality System.
  • It makes mushroom extracts with its own “Hifas Green Extraction Technology” and also grows mycelium in bioreactors for some ingredients.

The range is wide: single-mushroom extract capsules (the “Mico” line), blends, mushroom powders, gummies, liquid formulas, women’s products, children’s syrups, vitamin D drops, soaps and skincare.

Hifas da Terra’s main products and what’s in them

From each product page on hifasdaterra.co.uk, checked 26 October 2026. Amounts are per daily serving of two capsules:

Product Mushrooms listed Per 2 capsules (as stated)
Mico-Rei Reishi fruiting body extract 920mg extract; 248mg beta-glucans
Mico-Leo Lion’s mane fruiting body extract 990mg extract; 200mg beta-glucans
Mico-Five Reishi, maitake, shiitake, sun mushroom, chaga extracts About 950mg extracts in total
Equilibrium Reishi extract, lion’s mane powder, cordyceps extract 720mg mushroom; 198mg beta-glucans
Bio-Intestin Lion’s mane, shiitake, oyster, king oyster powders About 1,090mg powder; 320mg beta-glucans

The Mico capsules also contain 12mg of vitamin C from organic acerola. The UK site says they are vegan and gluten-free. One line on the Mico-Rei page gives a different extract figure (641mg), so check the label on your pack.

Is there a Bio Shiitake? We didn’t find a single-mushroom shiitake capsule on the UK store. Shiitake appears in Mico-Five, Mico Mix, Bio-Intestin, Microbiota and the Hifas-Lentinan drops. Other single extracts include Mico-Cord (cordyceps), Mico-Chaga, Mico-Sol (sun mushroom) and Mico-Polypor. For each mushroom, see our guides to reishi, lion’s mane, shiitake and turkey tail.

Fruiting body or mycelium? Mico-Rei, Mico-Leo, Mico-Five and Bio-Intestin all say fruiting body. Hifas da Terra explains that its powders are whole dried mushroom, cryomilled below 0°C, while its extracts concentrate compounds such as beta-glucans, so fewer capsules are needed. The UK functional mushrooms guide explains the difference.

How to take Hifas da Terra

  • Mico-Rei and Mico-Leo: 2 capsules a day, before breakfast or lunch.
  • Mico-Five and Equilibrium: 2 capsules a day, before breakfast or another main meal.
  • Bio-Intestin: 2 capsules a day, on an empty stomach, before main meals.

Hifas da Terra says its products can be combined if you follow each one’s daily intake, and that they are designed to be taken daily without breaks. It also says to ask your doctor first if you take medication or are under medical supervision.

Can you buy Hifas da Terra in the UK?

Yes. Hifas da Terra has its own UK store at hifasdaterra.co.uk, which ships to UK addresses and has a UK customer service email. The London pharmacy John Bell and Croyden also lists the Mico range online. On marketplaces, check who the seller is and that the pack is the UK version.

If you’re comparing options: we don’t make mushroom capsules, and we’re not saying ours are better, but this is what’s in ours:

  • Reishi Mushroom Adaptogenic Complex: a reishi hot chocolate with reishi mushroom extract, organic cacao, maca, coconut milk powder and coconut sugar. It contains a little natural caffeine from the cacao. See reishi cacao.
  • Magnesium Glycinate Sleep Complex: a berry drink powder with magnesium bisglycinate and citrate (148mg magnesium per serving), glycine, L-theanine, chamomile, passionflower, hops and oat straw. Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
  • Flow CBD Oil: broad spectrum CBD with 0% THC, plus ashwagandha and maca in MCT oil.

The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.

All three are vegan, made in the UK and for adults (18+) only. We don’t recommend our products during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

What the research says

No mushroom has an authorised health claim in Great Britain. The claims on Hifas da Terra’s pages are for the added vitamin C (for example, normal immune function) and, in some blends, B vitamins. The best-known lion’s mane trial used about 3g a day of dried lion’s mane in 30 Japanese adults aged 50 to 80 for 16 weeks; a 2023 UK pilot in young adults had mixed results. Human studies on reishi are small. More in our lion’s mane vs reishi vs cordyceps guide.

Professionals, cancer care and safety

Hifas da Terra runs a professional area on its UK site. Its registration form lists specialties including oncology and integrative oncology, gynaecology, nutrition and general medicine, and the company says it works with research centres, hospitals and universities. We are reporting this, not making any claim about it.

  • Cancer treatment: anyone having cancer treatment should speak to their oncology team before taking mushroom supplements. Memorial Sloan Kettering notes reishi may in theory interact with some chemotherapy drugs.
  • Medication: the same source says reishi can increase bleeding risk, so ask your GP or pharmacist if you take blood thinners or immunosuppressants.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Hifas da Terra says not to take its concentrated extracts.
  • Children: Hifas da Terra sells children’s syrups. Ask a GP or pharmacist before giving any supplement to a child.

Is Hifas da Terra worth it? A label checklist

That’s a personal call, and we haven’t tested it. We’d ask these questions of any brand, ours included:

Check What to look for Why it matters
Part used Fruiting body or mycelium Different materials
Form Extract or whole powder Changes the dose
Amounts mg per serving Shows what you get
Beta-glucans A measured figure Shows what was tested
Testing Heavy metals, pesticides Shows quality checks
Safety notes Pregnancy, medication Who should ask first
