Nutrition Geeks Magnesium Glycinate 3-in-1 is a vegan capsule from a Luton company. Two capsules give 384mg of elemental magnesium from 1,800mg of glycinate, malate and citrate, and the pack holds 90. The label says take one or two a day, so one capsule is about 192mg (checked November 2026).
Facts below come from the Nutrition Geeks website, read on 1 November 2026. Evopure isn’t connected with Nutrition Geeks, and we don’t rate or review other brands.
What’s in Nutrition Geeks Magnesium Glycinate 3-in-1?
It’s the only magnesium product that came up when we searched the Nutrition Geeks site. Here is its nutrition table and label:
| Detail | Per 2 capsules |
|---|---|
| Magnesium glycinate | 1,000mg |
| Magnesium malate | 400mg |
| Magnesium citrate | 400mg |
| Total compounds | 1,800mg |
| Elemental magnesium | 384mg (102% of the reference value) |
| Other ingredients | Magnesium stearate, HPMC capsule shell |
| Pack | 90 vegan capsules in a letterbox pouch |
The page doesn’t split the 384mg by form, so we can’t say how much comes from glycinate. Its product page also shows a label accuracy test dated 18 September 2026 by Marfleet Analytical Services, which found the elemental magnesium met the 384mg label claim. For what each form is, see magnesium glycinate, magnesium malate and magnesium citrate.

View productHow many a day? The label maths
The “1800mg” in the product description is the weight of the three compounds. The figure that counts is the 384mg of magnesium itself. Our sums:
- One or two capsules: the directions say 1 to 2 capsules a day with water or a cold drink. One capsule is about 192mg of magnesium; two give 384mg.
- Against UK needs: the NHS says adults need 300mg (men) or 270mg (women) a day, mostly from food. Two capsules alone are more than that, before you count your diet.
- Against the upper level: the NHS says more than 400mg for a short time can cause diarrhoea. Two capsules leave 16mg of headroom, so a multivitamin or a second magnesium product could take you over.
- Per pack: 90 capsules last 45 days at two a day or 90 days at one, which is why the brand says a 6 to 12 week supply.
For comparison, GLOV Magnesium Complex uses the same three forms for 300mg, and Myvitamins Magnesium Bisglycinate gives 112.5mg a tablet. Use how much magnesium per day as your yardstick.
Where Evopure fits
Evopure isn’t connected with Nutrition Geeks. Ours is a different approach, not a like-for-like swap: a lower amount of magnesium in a drink, with other evening ingredients.
- Magnesium Glycinate Sleep Complex: a berry-flavoured drink powder with magnesium bisglycinate and citrate (148mg of magnesium per serving), glycine, L-theanine, chamomile, passionflower, hops and oat straw. Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal psychological function.
- Reishi Mushroom Adaptogenic Complex: a reishi hot chocolate with cocoa and maca. It contains a little natural caffeine.
- Sleep CBD Oil: broad spectrum CBD with 0% THC, plus passion flower, for an evening routine.
The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
All three are vegan, made in the UK and for adults (18+) only. To compare other options, see our UK magnesium supplement guide.
Is it good for sleep? What UK rules and research say
Nutrition Geeks markets the 3-in-1 for sleep, relaxation and energy, with each form linked to a different job. In Great Britain, the authorised health claims belong to magnesium as a nutrient, whatever the form: it contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to normal muscle function, to normal functioning of the nervous system and to normal psychological function. There is no authorised claim that magnesium, or any one form, improves sleep.
The research is thin. A 2021 review found only three small trials of magnesium for insomnia, all in older adults, and rated the evidence low to very low quality. We found no published trial of this formula. More in magnesium for sleep and our 12 in 1 magnesium guide, which asks whether more forms means more benefit.
Best time to take it, and how long it takes
- Timing: the brand’s FAQ says many people take it in the evening, about an hour before bed, and others with breakfast or lunch. The product description also suggests splitting the two capsules across the day if that suits you. See the best time to take magnesium.
- How long: the FAQ says it generally takes a few weeks, and suggests finishing the 90 capsules. See how long magnesium takes to work.
- With other products: Nutrition Geeks sells it in a Sleep Bundle with its ashwagandha and turmeric. Check each label, and read our ashwagandha safety review first.
Side effects and who should check first
Loose stools are the usual side effect of magnesium, more likely at higher doses; if it happens, try one capsule or split the dose. The label says the product is not intended for anyone under 18. The brand’s FAQ says magnesium can interact with diuretics, bisphosphonates, antibiotics and medicines for acid reflux or ulcers.
Ask your GP or pharmacist before taking any magnesium if you have kidney disease or take regular medicines, such as antibiotics, alendronic acid or levothyroxine. More in magnesium side effects. We don’t recommend our products during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Our products are for adults (18+) only.
