Yes, Holland and Barrett sells CBD in its shops and online. When we checked its website in October 2026, the CBD section listed 116 products from about 20 brands, including oils, gummies, capsules, sprays and muscle balms. Its pages point shoppers to the FSA’s advice of no more than 10mg of CBD a day for healthy adults.

Below: what’s on the shelf, which brands it lists, how it handled the FSA’s 10mg advice, what to know if you’re shopping for sleep, stress or aches, and a simple checklist for any CBD product, wherever you buy it.

Prefer to buy direct from the maker? Our Broad Spectrum CBD Oil is 0% THC, on the FSA public list and third-party lab tested, with reports on request. Evopure is sold online only and isn’t sold by, or connected with, Holland and Barrett.

What CBD does Holland and Barrett sell?

Holland and Barrett’s website has a CBD section with sub-pages for oils, gummies and capsules. We went through every page of it on 21 October 2026. Here is roughly how the listings split by format:

Format Listings Strengths shown
Oils and drops About 45 300mg to 6,000mg per bottle
Gummies About 30 5mg to 30mg per gummy
Capsules About 17 5mg to 50mg per capsule
Balms, rubs and creams About 9 Up to 1,000mg per tub
Sprays About 5 Around 600mg to 1,200mg per bottle

Ranges change often, so treat these numbers as a snapshot. Not every listing will be in every shop, and some are online only.

Some CBD listings on the website are sold by what Holland and Barrett calls “trusted sellers”, meaning other companies selling through its site. Its marketplace help page explains that a product labelled “Sold by [seller]” is delivered by Holland and Barrett, while “Sold and delivered by [seller]” ships directly from that company. Check the label if you want to know who you’re buying from.

Which CBD brands does Holland and Barrett stock?

In alphabetical order, these brand names appeared in the CBD section when we checked:

  • Cannaray, CBD Guru, CBDfx, CBDIABLO, fourfive, Goodrays, Grass and Co., Herbal Health, Hippie Turtle Herbal Co
  • Holland and Barrett’s own CBD muscle balms
  • Jacob Hooy, KIKI Health, Love Hemp, Medahuman, Mission C, Pureis, Reakiro, Starpowa, TRIP and Vitabiotics

We aren’t rating or ranking any of them. Each brand publishes its own product details, so if one catches your eye, look up its lab reports and its entry on the FSA public list (more on both below). For a wider look at how to compare oils, see our guide to the best CBD oil in the UK and how to choose.

Holland and Barrett CBD oil: strengths and drops

Oils are the biggest group. The listings we saw came in 10ml, 15ml and 30ml bottles, from 300mg to 6,000mg of CBD per bottle. Several are flavoured (orange, mint, berry, citrus), and a few add other ingredients such as chamomile, ashwagandha, turmeric or vitamin D.

The number on the front is the total CBD in the bottle, not the amount per drop. To compare like for like, divide by the volume:

  • 1,000mg in a 10ml bottle is 100mg per ml, roughly 5mg per drop.
  • 1,000mg in a 30ml bottle is about 33mg per ml, under 2mg per drop.

So two “1,000mg” oils can be very different strengths. Our guide to CBD oil strengths, mg and drops has a full chart, and how much CBD should I take? covers where to start.

Is there full spectrum CBD oil at Holland and Barrett? None of the oil listings we saw were described as full spectrum in their product names. Several were described as broad spectrum or THC-free. Full spectrum oils can contain a little THC, while broad spectrum and isolate are made to remove it. See full spectrum vs broad spectrum vs isolate.

Holland and Barrett CBD gummies and capsules

Gummies and capsules give you a set amount of CBD in each piece, so there’s no counting drops. The listings we saw ranged from 5mg to 30mg per gummy and 5mg to 50mg per capsule, with vegan and sugar-free gummies among them.

That range matters because of the FSA’s advice. A single 25mg gummy is two and a half times the 10mg a day figure on its own. Holland and Barrett’s gummies page reminds shoppers that the FSA advises healthy adults to have no more than 10mg of CBD a day, and to count CBD from other products too.

If you’re weighing up formats, see CBD oil vs gummies and how to choose CBD capsules.

Holland and Barrett CBD balms and creams

The CBD section also lists muscle balms, rubs and creams, including Holland and Barrett’s own CBD Muscle Balm in Extra and Ultra versions, alongside balms from other brands. Many pair CBD with cooling or warming ingredients such as peppermint, eucalyptus, tea tree, arnica or camphor.

Balms and creams go on the skin, so they’re treated as cosmetics rather than food. That means the FSA’s novel food rules and its 10mg a day advice, which cover CBD you swallow, don’t apply to them in the same way. Check the ingredients if you have sensitive skin and patch test first.

Holland and Barrett and the FSA’s 10mg advice

In October 2023 the Food Standards Agency (FSA) cut its advice for healthy adults from 70mg to 10mg of CBD a day. Holland and Barrett’s response made the trade press:

  • 13 October 2023: it temporarily took 31 CBD products off sale, in shops and online, where a single serving was over 10mg, such as some canned drinks and gummies.
  • 23 October 2023: it put them back on sale, adding guidance at the shelf edge, links to the FSA’s consumer advice in online product descriptions, and staff training.

The products could still legally be sold throughout. The FSA’s figure is advice, not a law, and a retailer can choose how to present it. Today, its CBD oil page tells shoppers to check the amount of CBD per serving, and its gummies page repeats the FSA’s 10mg advice. The fuller story on the figure is in our guide to the CBD daily limit in the UK.

The FSA also doesn’t recommend CBD for under-18s, anyone pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, or people taking any medication, unless under medical direction. If you take medication, see can CBD interact with medication?

Holland and Barrett CBD for sleep, anxiety, pain or arthritis

People often search for CBD at Holland and Barrett with a goal in mind, and its website places some CBD products in goal-based categories such as sleep and relaxation. Whatever the shop or brand, it helps to know where the evidence stands:

  • CBD isn’t a treatment. CBD food supplements can’t legally claim to treat, prevent or relieve any condition, and there are no authorised health claims for CBD in the UK.
  • The research is still early. Most human studies on CBD for sleep, anxiety or pain are small or short, and the results are mixed. Our guides go through the trials honestly: does CBD help you sleep?, CBD and anxiety, CBD for pain and CBD and arthritis.
  • See your GP first if sleep problems, anxiety or joint pain are ongoing, getting worse or affecting daily life. Those deserve a proper check, not just a product.

If you do want a CBD oil as part of an evening routine, our guide to choosing a CBD oil for sleep explains what to look for.

How to check any CBD product on the shelf

These six checks work for any CBD product, on the high street or online:

  1. Is it on the FSA public list? CBD food sold in England and Wales (oils, capsules, gummies, drinks) must be linked to an application on the FSA’s public list. Search the product or brand name. If it’s missing or marked “Removed”, the FSA says it shouldn’t be on sale.
  2. How much CBD per serving? Look for mg per drop, gummy or capsule, not just the total on the front.
  3. Is there a recent lab report? A certificate of analysis (COA) from an independent lab should match your batch and show CBD content and THC. See how to read CBD lab reports.
  4. What about THC? THC is a controlled drug. Choose a product whose lab report shows THC not detected if you drive or face drug tests. See does CBD show up on a drug test?
  5. Which spectrum? Full spectrum, broad spectrum or isolate. The label or product page should say.
  6. Who it’s for. Adults only, and not during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

For the legal background, see is CBD legal in the UK? and our explainer on the FSA’s first CBD approvals.

Where Evopure fits

Evopure isn’t sold in Holland and Barrett, and we’re not connected with it. We sell online, direct from our own website. Here’s what we can tell you about our own products:

  • Broad Spectrum CBD Oil: broad spectrum CBD in organic MCT oil, nothing else. 10ml bottles in 500mg, 1,000mg and 2,000mg (about 2.5mg, 5mg and 10mg per drop).
  • Sleep CBD Oil: broad spectrum CBD with passion flower and a terpene blend led by myrcene, made for an evening routine. CBD isn’t a treatment for sleep problems.
  • CBD Balm, Muscle and Joint Support: broad spectrum CBD with peppermint, eucalyptus and juniper. Cooling and non-greasy, for massaging in after exercise.

All our CBD products are 0% THC and on the FSA public list, linked to validated applications RP438, RP821 and RP47, which means they can be sold while those applications are assessed. Everything is vegan, made in the UK and tested by ISO 17025 accredited labs, with reports on request from our lab testing page. Our products are for adults (18+) only, and we don’t recommend them during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
