You can buy CBD oil in the UK from brands’ own websites, Holland and Barrett, Boots, Superdrug, independent CBD shops and approved sellers on Amazon and eBay. Tesco and Asda don’t sell CBD oil. Wherever you buy, check the exact product is on the FSA public list and has a batch lab report showing the THC result.

Where can I buy CBD oil in the UK?
CBD oil is sold legally in the UK online and in shops when it meets the Home Office rule of no more than 1mg of THC per container and, as a food, is on the Food Standards Agency’s public list. You will find it most on brand websites and in health food shops, pharmacies and specialist CBD shops.

Can you buy CBD oil on the high street?
Yes. Holland and Barrett, Boots and Superdrug all sell CBD oil. When we checked on 5 November 2026, Holland and Barrett’s website listed 46 CBD oils from more than 10 brands, from 500mg to 10,000mg per bottle. Boots listed 59 CBD products in October 2026, and Superdrug sells TRIP and Cannaray drops alongside marketplace sellers.

In a pharmacy you can also ask whether CBD suits any medicines you take. Evopure isn’t sold by, or connected with, these shops.
Do supermarkets sell CBD oil?
No, not the big two. When we checked tesco.com and asda.com on 1 November 2026, neither sold CBD oil. Tesco’s CBD range was Cannaray 10mg gummies, Goodrays CBD drinks and marketplace skincare, and Asda’s was two Medahuman CBD drinks. Is there a CBD shop near me?
Most UK towns and cities have at least one independent CBD shop, and searching “CBD shop near me” on a map app shows the nearest. A good CBD store lets you see the bottle, read the label and ask questions. Check the same things as online: FSA public list entry, batch lab report and CBD per ml.
One warning. Some CBD shops sell “CBD flower”, “CBD bud” or “hemp flower”, often labelled as aromatherapy or “not for smoking”. In the UK, hemp flowers and buds are controlled cannabis under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 whatever their THC level, so buying them can be an offence. Many CBD shops also sell CBD vape liquids. These aren’t foods, so the FSA public list doesn’t cover them: see can you vape CBD oil? before you try one.
Can you buy CBD oil on Amazon or eBay?
Yes, but only from approved sellers. eBay lists CBD as a product that needs additional pre-approval, including proof of regulatory compliance, and Amazon UK limits ingestible CBD to a small group of sellers it has approved. Many “hemp oil” listings on both sites are hemp seed oil, which contains little or no CBD.

Is it better to buy CBD oil online or in a shop?
Either is fine if the product passes the same checks. Buying online direct from the brand usually gives you the most information: every strength, the batch lab report, subscription savings and a team to ask. Shops let you see the product first and, in a pharmacy, ask about medicines.
Why buying direct from the maker helps:

- Known stock: straight from the maker, not a third-party seller.

What should you check before you buy CBD oil?
Check five things, wherever you buy: the exact product on the FSA public list, a batch lab report with a THC result, the CBD per ml, a UK address and customer service, and no medical claims. The FSA public list is the official record of CBD foods allowed on sale in England and Wales while they are assessed.
Before you buy CBD oil anywhere
- FSA public list: search for the exact product and strength. “Validated” or “Awaiting evidence” can stay on sale; “Removed” or not listed should not be sold. Our guide to FSA CBD novel food approval explains the statuses.
- Batch lab report: the CBD should match the label and THC should read as not detected or within the legal limit.
- CBD per ml: total mg of CBD divided by the bottle size. A 500mg 10ml oil has 50mg per ml. See CBD oil strengths explained.
- UK address and customer service: a real company you can contact.
- No medical claims: CBD foods can’t legally claim to treat, prevent or cure anything. A seller that says otherwise is breaking the rules. More in how to avoid CBD scams.
The FSA’s 10mg a day figure is precautionary advice rather than a legal limit, set while longer-term safety research continues. At Evopure we think it is a very cautious figure, and many adults use more. If you go above it, increase slowly, and check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take any medication.
