What is CBD Oil?
What is CBD Oil?
The cannabis plant and the hemp plant are made up of over 100 naturally occurring cannabinoids, the most well known and plentiful of which are THC and CBD. THC is the psychoactive substance known for making users of cannabis ‘high’.
However, CBD has no such effects and has been suggested to support a healthy balance and wellbeing.
While the cannabis plant is illegal due to its high THC content, the hemp plant contains minute traces of THC and is high in CBD, making it non-psychoactive.
CBD derived from the hemp plant is therefore legal in the UK, and is also growing in popularity as the extract or oil can be used to supplement the cannabinoids that our body produces naturally.
